Puerto Valle, a paradise nourished by a natural luxury
A 24-hectare estancia is now a renewed hotel which promotes natural beauty. Marshes, a lake, and a river available to travellers are part of an offer which combines nature with a pleasant stay.
On a paradisiacal corner, a few kilometers away from the entrance to Ituzaingó, is the Puerto Valle estancia which, set in a completely natural habitat, shows the exuberance of a building customized to accommodate the needs of the most demanding national and international tourism. A luxury hotel, with six guest bedrooms spread between two country houses, and several others for activities such as cayman breeding, make up 24 hectares of live nature, showing traditional trees distributed throughout the typical vegetation of the area.
A group of journalists from the capital city of Corrientes was invited to take part in a mini-tour with the sole purpose of visiting the facilities of the Hotel de Esteros Puerto Valle, thanks to the Undersecretariat of Tourism of such province, which provided transportation. Once there and after a three-hour drive, amazement, surprise and admiration where the main ingredients of the adventure.
Luciana Salaün, Marketing & Communications Manager, Martín Álvarez, Operations Director and Federico Cortés, General Activities Coordinator, along with the Director of Tourism of Ituzaingó, Viviana Metifogo, were in charge of welcoming the press and opening the doors to a paradisiacal world which was a pleasure to see. Each of them, from their own area, showed and commented on the benefits of a natural space where the "experienced traveler" -as they call tourists- can enjoy comfort in a natural setting, with the lake, which was built from the Yacyretá dam, as a backdrop.
A natural boutique
The hotel has six bedrooms, four deluxe bedrooms, a double suite and a bungalow set by the river, with a plunge pool, arranged with comfort and facilities, built over the old country house from 1880. Each room is equipped with air conditioning, mini-bar, digital safe, wireless internet access, IDD and hair dryers. Linen includes Egyptian cotton bed sheets, towels and gowns, duvets and a pillow menu. For entertainment, the suite and the bungalow have LCD television sets. Prices per day are between 185 and 305 dollars.
The services offered include in-room massages, multilingual staff, laundry, ironing, shoe-shining, transfers, medical emergency services, cleaning twice a day, baggage storage, room service and picnic basket. The spacious common areas also offer visitors other benefits such as a reading room, known as the Library Lounge, equipped with an LCD television, a DVD player, a selection of movies and a great chimney.
But the spaces go beyond the walls of the luxury rooms, as the corridors with mosquito nets can be used for relaxing, as well as the chairs and parasols arranged nearby. Close by, structural candelabra suggest a magical night lit by handmade candles. The hotel also has a gourmet restaurant and bar, an outdoor area called La Palapa, La Matera, a space designed to share the mate ritual, and a hot tub facing the river. A cellar located in the basement crowns a strategic room distribution. The natural outdoor area also has a fruit and vegetable patch, a quincho (grill shed), a private dock and beach, and a motorboat. “The variety of trees and the sounds of the birds living together in the open spaces create an ideal space for relaxation." The proximity of the Esteros del Iberá, the Paraná river, the local tree production, the cayman farm, and the forest are some of the attractions of a region with everything to discover...", reads the presentation of a hotel with a lot to continue showing and offering.
